  1. Well you need to always give her alot of attention from now on.
And also you are extremely lucky in my eyes to have a Wolf Hybrid, I have ALWAYS wanted one, since as far back as I can remember. I love wolves, and any dog that looks like a wolf, and I extremely sorry for you lose.

It really does sadden me. =[

  2. I had one of a pair of dogs die, and the remaining one grieved for about a year. I bought him treats, chew bones, and any food he liked extra well to tempt him to eat, and spent extra time walking him and playing with him.

If you don’t want any more wolves, have you considered some sort of dog? I had a malamute once that got along well with a blue heeler. Blue heelers are notably tough because they’re cattle dogs that descended from dingoes.

  3. Adopt primitive dogs such as Akitas, German shepherds, or even a Jindo.

  4. Hi, I have owned 11 Wolf Hybrids in my short life. My oldest one lived to be 15 years old.
My suggestion would to be to get a small 2 month old puppy, like a German Shepherd, Malamute, or other large breed puppy, if you don’t want to get another Wolf Hybrid. don’t show her the puppy when you bring it home, let her find it herself. Rub something of hers on the new pup to make it smell like her. She’ll most likely think that the new puppy is hers, and she’ll be happy. This has worked on grieving and depressed dogs that I’ve known.
If you get another Wolf Hybrid puppy, you can get him neutered if you’re afraid of him mating with your old one if thats why you don’t want another one.
Its hard for any pack animal to get over the death of a loved one if its all by itself.
Maybe you could try playing with her more, and/or sit beside her for a while during the day and pet her. Thats the only thing that I could think of if you don’t want a new puppy of any breed.
One of my female Wolf Hybrids named Stormy had formed a special bond with a small male poodle mix that I rescued once. She would sleep with him and clean him like he was her puppy, so maybe your female Wolf Hybrid will do well with a small sized dog, too, if you don’t want a another big dog.

    Good Luck. :)
